Privacy policy

This policy explains how FundFox ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Your name, phone number and email address.
Your business name and, if you provide it, your ABN.
The answers you give in our funding quiz, such as the amount you need, what it's for, how long the business has traded, turnover, property ownership and any ATO debt.
Technical and marketing information, such as the page you arrived on, the ad or link you clicked, your device and browser, and cookies.
Records of calls and messages between you and us, if you contact us.

We don't ask for bank statements, identity documents or credit reports, and we don't run credit checks.

Why we collect it

To pass your enquiry to a partner commercial finance broker, who will contact you about business finance.
To follow up enquiries that haven't progressed, and to check the quality of the service you received.
To send you occasional updates, if you asked for them.
To measure and improve our website and advertising.

Who we share it with

Our partner broker. When you send an enquiry, we pass your details and quiz answers to a partner commercial finance broker. The broker handles any application and will give you their own privacy information. The broker may share your information with lenders and others involved in an application, with your agreement.
Service providers who help us run the website, our customer relationship management system, email and SMS delivery, call handling and analytics. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States.
Advertising platforms such as Google and Meta, which may receive limited information, such as hashed contact details or the fact that an enquiry was made, so we can measure our advertising.
Others where the law requires or allows it.

We don't sell your details to lists of brokers or lenders.

Marketing

We only send marketing emails or SMS if you agreed to receive them. Every message has a way to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to remember how you arrived at the site, protect our forms from spam and measure advertising. You can block cookies in your browser, though parts of the site may not work properly.

Security and retention

We store personal information with reputable providers and limit who can access it. We keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires, then delete or de-identify it.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing privacy@fundfox.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page.
